Millions of Filipinos have the discipline and drive to build a remote career. Many simply never got the on-ramp — not because they lack ability, but because of circumstance.
Alpha Academy is free and online — but "free and online" still assumes a device and a connection. That assumption doesn't hold everywhere in the Philippines.
Remote work as a real, viable career path is still not common knowledge in many communities — especially outside Metro Manila and major cities.
Self-directed learning works well for people who already know how to teach themselves. It works less well for a first-timer with no mentor and no community.
Our founding vision
This is the long-term mission behind AVS: physical, community-based spaces — per barangay — equipped with training, internet access, and mentorship, so that where you're born doesn't determine whether you can build a remote career.
Where this stands today: this is a founding vision we are actively building toward — not yet an operating program. We believe in being direct about that distinction, because your trust matters more to us than sounding further along than we are.
What already exists: the free, self-paced Alpha Academy curriculum (open to anyone with a device and internet), and a growing Facebook community of Filipino remote-work learners supporting each other. The physical hub network is the next chapter we're building toward.
How we envision a hub working
Set up in partnership with a barangay hall, community center, or NGO — internet and devices provided on-site, no personal connection required.
A simplified, offline-ready version of Alpha Academy — slower-paced, more foundational, delivered with a trained community facilitator.
Graduates receive the same AVS Certificate of Completion and the same direct path to the AVS talent network as any other Alpha Academy graduate.
Our roadmap
Alpha Academy is live now — open to any Filipino with a device and internet connection. This is the foundation everything else builds on.
We're actively looking for our first barangay, NGO, or LGU partner to run a pilot hub with — proving the model in one community before scaling it.
Each proven hub becomes the template for the next — expanding community by community, across the Philippines and, over time, beyond it.
